Proper preparation helps make your tattoo session more comfortable and supports smooth, healthy healing. Please take a moment to read the recommendations below.

Preparing for Your Tattoo Session

  • Well-hydrated skin is more elastic and easier to work with.

Make sure to drink enough water the day before your appointment. You may also apply a moisturizer to the area a few days in advance.

Important: Do not apply any creams, oils, or lotions to the tattoo area on the day of your session.

  • Please make sure to eat before your session. Having a proper meal helps keep your blood sugar stable and gives your body the energy it needs, which can greatly improve how you feel during the tattoo process.

During your appointment, I’ll have water, tea, coffee, and some sweet treats available to help you stay comfortable.

  • Quality rest is essential. A good night’s sleep helps your body manage stress and reduces sensitivity during the session. Arriving well-rested will help you feel calmer and more relaxed throughout the process.

  • Alcohol thins the blood and can increase bleeding during the session, which may affect both the process and healing.

One cup of coffee is absolutely fine, especially if it’s part of your regular routine. However, excessive caffeine should be avoided, as it can increase sensitivity, anxiety, and bleeding.

Please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after your appointment.

  • Choose loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area. Keep in mind that you may need to sit or lie in the same position for an extended period of time.

  • The skin in the tattoo area should be healthy and intact. Sunburned skin can make the session more painful and may affect the quality of the tattoo. Please avoid sun exposure and tanning before your appointment.

  • My studio is small and cozy, intentionally created to feel calm, private, and focused.

During the tattoo process, only the client is allowed inside the tattoo room. This helps me maintain full concentration and gives you the space to stay connected to your experience without distractions.

You’re very welcome to bring one support person. They can meet you before or after your appointment, or relax in our separate lounge area on the same floor. We have comfortable couches where they can wait while your session is in progress.

Thank you for understanding and respecting the atmosphere of the studio.

Tattoo Contraindications

Tattoo Contraindications •

Before booking, it’s important to make sure that getting a tattoo will be safe for you. This isn’t just a formality — it’s about caring for your health and how your tattoo will age over time.
If you have any medical conditions or contraindications, let’s calmly discuss them in advance.

  • Your body is going through major changes, and your immune system works differently. Healing can be unpredictable, and the stress of the procedure isn’t necessary right now.

  • Even with parental consent. The skin is still growing and changing, and decisions at this age are often impulsive. A tattoo is a conscious choice for life.

  • Any clotting disorder makes the process dangerous — bleeding can be severe, and healing long and problematic.

  • Your body is fighting the disease, and your immune system is weakened. A tattoo is an additional burden that may worsen your condition.

  • If you have any of these diagnoses, please let me know before booking. I work in fully sterile conditions, but your health and safety are my priority.

  • Stress, pain, and prolonged immobility can trigger a seizure. This is dangerous both for you and for the process.

  • If your condition is unstable right now, it’s better to postpone. A tattoo requires clarity and confidence in your decision.

  • If you’ve developed keloids after cuts, burns, or piercings before, a tattoo may cause the same reaction. Skin response is unpredictable, and the result may be far from what you expect.

Temporary contraindications (you can get tattooed later, once the condition normalizes)

Acute infectious illnesses, colds, flu, high fever
Your immune system is weakened and your body is fighting an illness. Healing will take longer and carries higher risks.

Flare-ups of chronic conditions (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, etc.)
The skin is inflamed and its protective barrier is compromised. Tattooing may worsen the condition and won’t heal properly.

Taking antibiotics, blood thinners, or immunosuppressants
These medications affect blood clotting and immune response. If you’re undergoing treatment, it’s better to wait until it’s finished.

Menstruation
Pain tolerance is lower, skin is more sensitive, and the body is under stress. Tattooing is possible, but it may be uncomfortable.

Alcohol or drug intoxication
I do not work with clients who are under the influence.

Sunburn or recent tanning (less than 2 weeks)
Damaged skin will heal poorly and may reject the pigment.

Recent vaccinations (less than 2 weeks)
Your immune system is actively responding to the vaccine. It’s best to wait until your body stabilizes
